It's been around for that long because, like a classic white button-up, it just works. Warm and welcoming, traditional design is defined by a dignified color sense, antique furnishings, symmetrical layouts, and boldly patterned fabrics. We're fans of all the soft edges (read: throw pillows and skirts are our besties), but we keep the look from feeling fussy or outdated through tight palettes and artful accessories.
